How many tasks in Excel can be performed with\u00a0double click? You may be surprised to learn that there are 15! Check out this guide and use tricks in practice.   1. Opening a file<\/strong>
    \nDouble-click the file (eg. Excel with the extension .xls or .xlsx) in a specific folder to open it.<\/li>\n
  2. Closing\u00a0file<\/strong>
    \nIn the 2007 version you can double click on the Office button to close the file. In later versions, this serves the upper left corner of the window with\u00a0a symbol of Excel. But normally it is used to close file with the cross button in the right corner.<\/p>\n

  3. Split window
    \n<\/strong>If you use the option View > Split<\/em> to split the window into several parts, you can cancel it by double-clicking on the intersection\u00a0of the dividing lines.<\/p>\n

  4. Maximaze and reduce the window size
    \n<\/strong>Double-click on the top bar of opened file (where we see the file name) to maximize<\/em> the window to the full\u00a0screen, or reduce it back\u00a0to a floating window.<\/li>\n
  5. Hiding tabs<\/b>
    \nDouble-click on any Tab name\u00a0\u00a0(except File tab) to minimize the Ribbon<\/em>. It can be displayed again\u00a0the same way .<\/p>\n

  6. Renaming sheet
    \n<\/strong>Double-clicking on the sheet tab you can easily rename it. New name confirm by pressing Enter<\/em>.<\/p>\n

  7. Autofit column width
    \n<\/strong>If the column width is too small, there are not visible longer words, tapping between two columns (e.g. B and C) set\u00a0width automatically.<\/p>\n

  8. Activate format painter

  9. Formula copying
    \n<\/strong>You can copy\u00a0value or formula to\u00a0the last cell in the column if you double-click\u00a0the bottom right corner of the cell.
