Usually people would have used the simplest way, ie via CTRL + C (copy) and CTRL + V (paste). Such a procedure may not insert a table in the desired format. If this guide has helped you, become a fan on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/itlektorcz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> and recommend this site to your friends, it\u00a0can be useful for them too.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ordinary\u00a0copying<\/h2>\n<p>To copy tables between open files is the quickest to follow this procedure:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select the source table in Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Use combination\u00a0CTRL+C.<\/li>\n<li>Inside the target file in Word \/ PowerPoint press CTRL+V.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otherwise, it can be used by\u00a0copy and paste icons on the Home tab or pop-up menu with right mouse button. Such a procedure inserts a table but in some default format that may not meet our requirement.<\/p>\n<p>We can distinguish between three types of embedded table:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Table type PowerPoint \/ Word\n<ul>\n<li>default type when you use the <strong>CTRL+C<\/strong> a<strong> CTRL+V<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>does not support Excel functions and do not maintain the same formatting<\/li>\n<li>when you change its size, the font size does not change the proportions (the problem can be worked around by changing the size by holding down the Shift key)<\/li>\n<li>you can edit data and appearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Table type Excel\n<ul>\n<li>supports the same functionality as Excel<\/li>\n<li>it is an embedded Excel\u00a0object<\/li>\n<li>activated by\u00a0double-click into the embedded spreadsheet<\/li>\n<li>you can, among other things, edit data and appearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Table in the form of an image\n<ul>\n<li>does not support the change of\u00a0size or value<\/li>\n<li>looks the same as in the original form in Excel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The last two mentioned types of embedden\u00a0tables can be chosen by selecting <strong>Paste\u00a0&gt; Paste special<\/strong> in the destination file (Fig. 1).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3614\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3614\" style=\"width: 573px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itlektor.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/02.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3614\" src=\"https:\/\/www.itlektor.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/02.jpg\" alt=\"Mo\u017enosti Vlo\u017eit jinak\" width=\"573\" height=\"308\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.itlektor.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/02.jpg 573w, https:\/\/www.itlektor.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/02-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 573px) 100vw, 573px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3614\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fig. 1\u00a0&#8211; Paste special options (czech)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are interested in selecting\u00a0<strong>Paste Link<\/strong> option, it is a method to insert a table with a link to the original file. It means that if the original file in Excel changes, in the copied table the change is updated in Word \/ Powerpoint.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Copy as shown when printed<\/h2>\n<p>When you use the <strong>Paste special &gt; Picture<\/strong>\u00a0of a table that has no set boundaries, light grid on the target file is displayed as well. It also appears e.g. indicators of comments in the form of a red triangle in the corner of a cell.
